I'll have to find "The Company of Friends" because I did like Fitz quite a bit.chrissyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17574969300905906532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4934487773490396103.post-4951090581209962082013-09-03T01:07:54.306-06:002013-09-03T01:07:54.306-06:00The books about the Doctor's amnesia (starting...The books about the Doctor's amnesia (starting at the end of The Ancestor Cell, and ending with Escape Velocity) are great. While it is possible to read The Ancestor Cell without any prior knowledge (I did), you would probably get more out of it if you had read a few of the previous EDAs. One of the great things with the EDAs is that they do things that the new series later built on, but the novels often have more time to work on it. (Time War, for example!) And so many of the Anji and Fitz books after EarthWorld are excellent. (Regarding Fitz and Big Finish - he's actually turned up in one 20 minute episode in "The Company of Friends". The only reason why Anji isn't in it too is because Fitz got her drunk on alien cocktails, and the Doctor decides that it'd be kinder to let her sleep it off.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
